We are also thrilled to announce that Aging in Paradise Resource Center will be offering the innovative Aging Mastery Program. This 10-part workshop series features an engagement-curriculum developed by the National Council on Aging. It is designed to improve the health, financial security and overall well-being for seniors in communities across the county, including Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Along with Aging in Paradise Resource Center two other outstanding community partners have been selected to participate, Meals on Wheels Plus, in Bradenton, and the Friendship Center in downtown Sarasota. Aging in Paradise Resource Center is part of this local network of Aging Mastery Programs participants sponsored by The Patterson Foundation. Together, we will share ideas and information to enhance the impact of the Aging Mastery Programs throughout the country. Currently, Aging in Paradise Resource Center, Meals on Wheels Plus and the Friendship Center are the only three organizations invited to participate in the Aging Mastery Programs in the State of Florida! This Series will begin in January, 2016 and Season Tickets will be available in November 2015. This is an opportunity to be a part of a pilot group that will help influence how the Aging Mastery Program evolves throughout the country!
