Chef Craig Chasky, a Sarasota resident who has appeared on the Food Network and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, will present a nutritional cooking class and demonstration on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. He will prepare a full course meal which will be served to all those attending the class. The meal consists of: Italian Salad, Pasta Primavera, Italian Zuppe Inglesia (Bread Pudding) and Non-Alcoholic Drinks. Tickets must be purchased by March 25th. Couples work together to learn valuable techniques on giving a healthy massage. Presented by Liz Yerkes and Elaine Dohms, both trained and experienced Massage Therapists, they will provide tips for reducing blood pressure, respiration and heart rate.
March 4, 2014 through April 4, 2014 – 10:30 – Noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. These classes are designed for improving balance, strength, flexibility and endurance. They are appropriate for those with Neuro Muscular issues such as Parkinson’s and are geared toward men and women alike.
Donna Blizman, a recognized expert in the health insurance business, will present “Learn Your Options To Complement Medicare: It’s Never Too Late To Learn” on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. The presentation will take place on the second floor of the Longboat Island Chapel. Donna has a passion to help people understand the health insurance maze and is excited to share her knowledge with seniors from Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Sarasota and the surrounding communities.
