Summer matinees continue Wednesday June 10 with the ever-popular Driving Miss Daisy, starring Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy. Showtime is 1:30 p.m. but arrive a little early to meet friends and fill a bowl with fresh popcorn. We have cold lemonade, too! The first Tuesday of every month, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Memory Screenings will be provided by Sue Fox, Program Specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association Florida Gulf Chapter! The maximum number that can be screened per day is seven, so be sure to sign-up quickly.

Sue brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Mental Health and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Quincy College and a Master’s Degree from Concordia University! Screenings are held in the Ruth Cushing Room, Aging in Paradise Resource Center, 2nd floor of the Longboat Island Chapel, LBK. Larry Auerbach, Emerald Life Master with over 8000 Master Points will be returning to AIPRC on Friday, May 1st from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to continue providing Beginner-Refresher Bridge – A Fun and Relaxed Step-by-Step Approach. Larry is returning due to popular demand! He uses a great approach to growing your bridge skills.
There is a charge of $5 per class.
