Sarasota Institute of Lifetime Learning (SILL) Global Issues Lecture Series 2015
Presented via DVD the week following the live lecture, expert speakers take you behind the scenes on timely topics. Speakers include: Renowned Journalist Hendrick Smith, Martin Walk on Europe and Putin, Jerry Pubantz on Congressional Elections and Ambassador James Jeffrey on Turkey.
Lectures will take place on 12 Fridays from 10:30 to noon beginning January 16, 2015 and running through April 3, 2015.
Cost for the series (12 lectures) is $75.00; individual lecture tickets are $8.00
Tickets already purchased from SILL for the Sarasota venue may be exchanged for this location prior to Dec. 15, 2014.

AAA Driver’s Improvement Program offers seniors a way to refresh their driving skills and keep up-to-date with motor vehicle laws. This AAA course is packed with driving techniques to help sharpen your skills. In many states, AAA driver improvement courses enable you to receive a discount on insurance premiums. Dr. Erin Long, Board Certified Dermatologist with Intercoastal Medical Group in Sarasota, will be providing free skin screenings for the detection of cancer. Dr. Long will not be allowed to treat or biopsy and the screening will be for skin lesions only, not rashes. If further examination is necessary, you will be provided a form with the areas circled to take to your physician. Bathing suits may be worn under clothing to help facilitate the screening.
